Statement from Ginbot 7 Regarding the Horrific Video of Murdered Civilians in the Ogaden Region

Ginbot 7, Movement for Justice, Freedom and Democracy is deeply saddened and outraged by the recent leaked video of barbaric killings of civilians suspected of supporting the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF). Anyone with a conscience should be disturbed by the brutal scenes and sounds of hundreds of civilians whom the regime’s security forces have raped, tortured and killed.
Once again this video is a stark reminder to all Ethiopians, irrespective of their ethnic background and religious affiliation, that Ethiopia is ruled by a savage, blood-thirsty regime carrying out a reign of terror in all parts of Ethiopia.
There are no words of condolence that can adequately convey our sorrow, our sympathy for the victims and their families. The unfathomable brutality of the Tigrai People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) security forces dragging the dead corpses of alleged ONLF supporters in an act of coward savagery is an insult to the moral values of the Ethiopian people, and humanity in general
We affirm our just revulsion over these heinous crimes and call on those responsible for such a heinous crime to be held accountable.
There is no question that in the last 23 years the brutal TPLF regime has committed thousands of grave human rights violations against civilians in the Ogaden region and other parts of Ethiopia. Many of its most gruesome acts constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The TPLF brutal and merciless regime has stubbornly continued its unabated threats to annihilate any group that does not embrace its bankrupt ideology of ethnic politics which it zealously promotes to stay in power.
The people of Ethiopia want to live together in peace with their rights, dignity and freedom protected and respected like the rest of humanity.  More than ever, it is high time and in their long term interest in the region for Western democratic nations that support the TPLF by financing, arming and training its security forces to take a very hard look at the moral and political hazards of forming an alliance with a barbaric regime that engages in wanton violence (mass executions, torture, war crimes, ethnic cleansing) against its perceived political enemies.
Donor countries need to stop burying their head in the sand and acknowledge the basic fact that the TPLF regime is a threat to the people of Ethiopia and the stability of the Horn of Africa. Where there is no justice, there will never be peace.
Let it be clear to all concerned that the status quo in Ethiopia is not sustainable. The Ethiopian people will prevail over the inhumane and brutal dictatorship of the fascist minority dictatorship of the TPLF.

የኦጋዴን ኡኡታ

ዘረኞቹ የወያኔ መሪዎች በወጣትነታችን ብረት አንስተን ጫካ እንድንገባ አደረገን ብለዉ የሚናገሩት በወቅቱ ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ ተንሰራፍቶ ይታይ የነበረዉ በብሄር ብሄረሰቦች ጭቆና ነበር። ወያኔዎች በለስ ቀንቷቸዉ አዲስ አበባን ከተቆጣጠሩ በኋላም ቢሆን ለእነሱ ለራሳቸዉ የሚመች ህገ መንግስት ጽፈዉ ትልቁን የኢትዮጵያ ችግር ፈታን ብለዉ የሚናገሩት ይህንኑ ዛሬም ድረስ እናት አገራችንን ኢትዮጵያን እንደ ነቀርሳ በሽታ ቀስፎ ይዞ የሚቆጠቁጣትን የብሄር ብሄረሰቦች ችግር ነዉ። ወያኔ በ1994 ዓም ህገመንግስቱን አጽድቆ የፌዴራል ስርዐት ከመሰረተ በኋላ ድምጹን ከፍ አድርጎ የጮኸዉ ማንም መፍታት ቀርቶ ሞክሮት አንኳን የማያዉቀዉን የኢትዮጵያን ብሄር ብሄረሰቦች ችግር እኔ ፈታሁት የሚል ለሱና ለደጋፊዎቹ ብቻ የሚሰማ ጩኸት ነበር። ወያኔ የኢትዮጵያን ብሄር ብሄረሰቦች ከታሰሩበት ሰንሰለት ፈትቼ “ነፃ” አወጥቼ እራሳቸዉን በራሳቸዉ እንዲመሩ መንገድ ከፈትኩላቸዉ ብሎ ከተናገረ ከሃያ አመታት በኋላ ዛሬም ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ የትኛዉም ብሄረሰብ እራሱን በራሱ ማስተዳደር ቀርቶ የአገሪቱ ዜጎች ባሰኛቸዉ ቦታ መኖር እንኳን አይችሉም። የሚገርመዉ ነጻነትና እኩልነት የሠላም ጠላቶች የሆኑ ይመስል ዛሬ ወያኔ ነጻ ወጡ የሚላቸዉ ብሄረሰቦች በሚኖሩበት አካባቢ ሁሉ የሚታየዉ የአገራችንን አንድነት ከፍተኛ አደጋ ላይ የሚጥል ብጥብጥ፤ ግጭትና ክልሌን ለቅቀህ ዉጣ የሚል ወያኔ ይዞብን የመጣዉ መፈክር ነዉ።

ወያኔ ጫካ ዉስጥ እያለ ደርግን በተደጋጋሚ በዘር ማጥፋት ወንጀል ይከሰስ እንደነበር ያኔ ወያኔ ምን ይዞልን ወይም ይዞብን ይመጣ ይሆን እያልን እንከታተለዉ ለነበርን ኢትዮጵያዊያን የቅርብ ግዜ ትዝታችን ነዉ። ከወያኔ ዉንጀላዎቹ አንዱና ዋነኛዉ ደግሞ ወያኔ እራሱ አቀነባብሮና አዘጋጅቶ ሐዉዜን ዉስጥ በቪድዮ እየተቀረጸ የተካሄደዉ ዉጊያ ነበር። በዚህ ዉጊያ ላይ ደርግ በአዉሮፕላንና በታንክ እየታገዘ መንደሮችን በመደምሰስ ብዙ ሰላማዊ ዜጎችን እንደጨረሰ ወያኔ ዛሬም ድረስ የሚነግረን ዉንጀላ ነዉ። የወያኔ መሪዎች የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ እንዲያዉቀዉ የማይፈልጉትና እነሱም በፍጹም የማይነግሩን እዉነት ቢኖር ደርግን አሸንፈዉ አዲስ አበባን ሲቆጣጠሩ ከደርግ የወረሱት እነሱ እንደሚሉት ባዶ ካዝና ብቻ ሳይሆን የደርግን ክፋት፤ ጭካኔና ጭፍጨፋ ጭምር መሆኑን ነዉ።

ዘረኞቹኦ የወያኔ መሪዎች ባለፉት ሃያ ሦስት አመታት በኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ላይ የፈጸሙትን ወንጀል መዘርዘር እራሱን የቻለ ትልቅ ፕሮጀክት ነዉና ዛሬ ወደዚያ አንሄድም፤ ሆኖም ይህ ዘረኛ ቡድን ነኝ ብሎ የሚናገረዉን አለመሆኑን ለማሳየት ስንል ብቻ ሁለቱን ትላልቅ የወያኔ የሰዉ ዘር ማጥፋት ወንጀሎች መናገሩ ፍሃዊ ይመስለናል። የወያኔ ዘረኞች በኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ላይ ከፈጸሟቸዉ ወንጀሎች አንዱና ትልቁ በታህሳስ ወር 1996 ዓም በአኝዋክ ህዝብ ላይ የፈጸሙት የሰዉ ዘር ማጥፋት ወንጀል ሲሆን ሌላዉ ደግሞ አሁንም ድረስ እልባት ያላገኘዉና ምስራቅ ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ በሶማሌ ወገኖቻችን ላይ የሚፈጽሙት አይን ያወጣ ጭፍጨፋ ነዉ። ፋሺስቱ ደርግ በአዉሮፕላንና በጦር ሂሊኮፕተሮች እየታገዘ ህፃን፤ አዋቂ፤ ሴትና ወንድ ሳይለይ ህዝብ ይጨፈጭፋል እያለ ሲከስ የነበረዉ ወያኔ ዛሬ እሱ እራሱ ከደርግ በከፋ ሁኔታ ኦጋዴን ዉስጥ እንዲህ ነዉ ተብሎ በቃላት ለመናገር የሚያዳግት ሰቆቃ በኦጋዴን ህዝብ ላይ እየፈጸመ ነዉ። ደርግን – ደርግ ለመሬቱ እንጂ መሬቱ ላይ ስለሚኖረዉ ህዝብ ደንታ የለዉም እያለ አምርሮ ይኮንን የነበረዉ ወያኔ የሱም ጉዳይ አጋዴን ዉስጥ አገኛለሁ ብሎ ከሚተማመነዉ የነዳጅ ኃብት ጋር እንጂ ከኦጋዴን ህዝብ ጋር እንዳልሆነ በተደጋጋሚ በዚህ ህዝብ ላይ በፈጸማቸዉና ዛሬም ድረስ በሚፈጽማቸዉ አረመኔያዊ የጭካኔ እርምጃዎች በተግባር አረጋግጧል። የሰላም፤ የፍህና የነጻነት ጠላት የሆነዉ ወያኔ ኦብነግን ከኦጋዴን ምድር አጠፋለሁ በሚል ሰበብ በክልሉ በየቀኑ በሚወስዳቸዉ ፀረ ህዝብ እርምጃዎች የብዙ ሠላማዊ ዜጎችን ደም እያፈሰሰ ነዉ።

በ1983 ዓም የሽግግሩ መንግስት ሲቋቋም የጀመረዉን የትጥቅ ትግል አቋርጦና የታጠቀዉን መሳሪያ አዉርዶ የሽግግሩን መንግስት ከተቀላቀሉት አማጽያን ዉስጥ አንዱ ኦብነግ በሚል ምህጻረ ቃል የሚታወቀዉ የኦጋዴን ብሄራዊ ነፃነት ግንባር ነበር። ይህ ግንባር በታህሳስ ወር 1984 ዓም ኦጋዴን ዉስጥ በተካሄደዉ የአካባቢ ምርጫ ከ80 በመቶ በላይ ድምጽ በማግኘት የክልሉን መንግስት መስርቶ የሽግግሩ መንግስት የስራ ዘመን እስካበቃበት ግዜ ድረስ ኦጋዴንን አስተዳድሯል፤ ሆኖም ክልሎች እራሳቸዉን ችለዉ በራሳቸዉ መርህና የፖለቲካ ፕሮግራም ሲመሩ ማየትና መስማት የማይወደዉ ወያኔ የኢትዮጵያ ሶማሌ ዲሞክራቲክ ሊግ የሚባል ተለጣፊ ድርጅት በመፍጠርና ይህ ተለጣፊ ድርጅት የ1987ቱን ምርጫ እንዲያሸንፍ በማድረግ ሰላም ፈልጎ የመጣዉን ኦብነግ ከጨዋታ ዉጭ በማድረግ ሌሎች አማራጮችን አንዲመለከት አስገድዶታል። በዚህ የወያኔ አሻጥርና የማግለል እርምጃ የተከፋዉና በሠላማዊ መንገድ ለኦጋዴን ችግሮች መፍትሄ ማግኘት ይቻላል በሚል እምነት ትጥቁን ፈትቶ የሽግግሩን መንግስት የተቀላቀለዉ ኦብነግ አንደገና ትጥቁን አንስቶ ጦርነት ዉስጥ ለመግባት ተገድዷል። የወያኔ መሪዎች ፍላጎትም ቢሆን በፌዴራሊዝም ስም በየክልሉ የራሳቸዉን አሻንጉሊቶች እያስቀመጡ በእጅ አዙር ክልሎችን በቁጥጥራቸዉ ዉስጥ ማድረግ ነዉ አንጂ የኢትዮጵያ ብሄረሰቦች እራሳቸዉን በራሳቸዉ እንዲያስተዳድሩ ማድረግ እንዳልሆነ በኦጋዴንና በሌሎችም ክልሎች የወሰዷቸዉ እርምጃዎች በግልጽ ያሳያሉ።

የደርግ ስርዐት በህዝባዊ አመጽ ተደምስሶ አዲስ አበባ ዉስጥ በ19983 ዓም የሽግግር መንግስት ሲቋቋም የኦብነግ መሪዎች ከመሳሪያ ትግል ይልቅ በሽግግር መንግስቱ ዉስጥ መሳተፍ ለመብቱና ለነጻነቱ እንታገላለን ለሚሉት የአጋዴን ህዝብም ሆነ በአጠቃላይ ለኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ይበጃል ብለዉ ጫካዉን ጥለዉ ከተማ መምጣታቸዉ የሚያሳየን አንድ ትልቅ ሀቅ ቢኖር ለትግል ያነሳሳቸዉ የፍትህ፤ የነጻነትና የእኩልነት ጥማት መሆኑን ነዉ። ኦብነግ ገዢዎችም ሿሚዎችም እኛ ብቻ ነን በሚሉ ስግብግብ የወያኔ መሪዎች ተገፍቶ የሚያስተዳድረዉን ህዝብ ጥሎ ጫካ ባይገባ ኖሮ ዛሬ ኦጋዴን የሰላም ቀጠና ሆና ኦጋዴንን ለማዉደም የሚወጣዉ ከፍተኛ ወታደራዊ ወጪ ለዕድገትና ለልማት ስራዎች ይዉል ነበር።

የወያኔን መሪዎች ተንኮል፤ አሻጥርና ራስ ወዳድነት ከኦብነግ መሪዎች በላይ የሚያዉቅ ማንም የለም። ሆኖም የኦብነግ መሪዎች መሠረታዊ ፍላጎት የኦጋዴን ህዝብ መብቱና ነጻነቱ ተጠብቆ ፍትህ በሰፈነባት ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ ከሌሎች ወገኖቹ ጋር በእኩልነት እንዲኖር ማየት ስለሆነ በወያኔ ዘረኞች ዕብሪትና ተንኮል ተስፋ ሳይቆርጡ ይህ ፍላጎታቸዉ ሊሳካ የሚችልበትን መንገድ በሰላማዊ መንገድ ለማሳካት አሁንም እንደጣሩ ነዉ። ወያኔ ግን ይህንን የኦብነግ መሪዎች የሰላም ፍላጎት እንደ ፍርሃትና ሞኝነት በመቁጠር በጎረቤት አገር መሪዎች አማላጅነት ለድርድር የመጡ የኦብነግ መሪዎችን ለድርድር ከሄዱበት ከናይሮቢ ከተማ አፍኖ ወደ አዲስ አበባ ወስዷል። የወያኔ መሪዎች እንደነዚህ አይነቶቹን ጭፍንና ፀረ ሠላም የሆኑ እርምጃዎችን በኦብነግና በሌሎችም ብረት ባነሱ ኃይሎች ላይ በመዉስድ በአንድ በኩል በሠላማዊ መንገድ በዉይይትና ድርድር ሊፈቱ የሚችሉ ችግሮችን አላስፈላጊ ወደ ሆኑ አዉዳሚ ጦርነቶች እንዲያመሩ ሲያደርግ በሌላ በኩል ደግሞ የህዝብን ልብ በማስሸፈት በኢትዮጵያ አንድነት ላይ ከፍተኛ ጫና ይፈጥራል። ዛሬ አገራችን ኢትዮጵያ ዉስጥ ሃምሳ ኪሎሜትር በማይሞላ ርቀት እራሳቸዉን “ነፃ አዉጭ” ግንባር ብለዉ የሰየሙ አያሌ ድርጅቶች ይገኛሉ። እነዚህ የዚህ ወይም የዚያ ብሄረሰብ ነፃ አዉጭ ግንባር ነን ባዮች የተፈጠሩት የወያኔ ዘረኝንት፤ ዕብሪትና ንቀት ትዕግስታቸዉን ባስጨረሰ ሰዎች ነዉ እንጂ የነዚህ ድርጅቶች መሪዎች እንመራዋለን የሚሉት ህዝብ ችግር ከተቀረዉ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ችግር ጋር አብሮ እንደሚፈታ ረስተዉት አይደለም።

የሰብዓዊ መብቶች ተንከባካቢ ወይም በፈረንጆቹ ቋንቋ ሂዩማን ራይትስ ዋች የተባለዉ አለም አቀፍ ተቋም እንደ ፈረንጆቹ አመን አቆጣጠር በሁለት ሺ ስምንት በመረጃ አስደግፎ ባወጣዉ ዘግናኝ ሪፖርት ዘረኛዉ የወያኔ አገዛዝ በኦጋዴን ህዝብ ላይ የሚፈጽመዉን የጅምላ ቅጣት በግልጽ አሳይቶን ነበር። ሪፖርቱ ኦጋዴን ዉስጥ የመከላከያ ሠራዊት፤ ልዩ ፖሊስና የአካባቢዉ ሚሊሺያ ሠላማዊ ዜጎችን ከየመንደሩ እየጎተቱ የኦብነግ አባላት ናችሁ ብለዉ እንደሚረሽኑና ቤታቸዉን እንደሚያቃጥሉ ለአለም አቀፉ ህብረተሰብና ለእኛ የጉዳዩ ባለቤት ለሆንነዉ ኢትኦጵያዉያን አሳዉቋል። ይህ በቪድዮ ተደግፎ የቀረበዉ ሪፖርት እናት ልጄ ፊቴ ላይ ተረሸነ፤ አባት የልጆቼ እናት አይኔ እያየ ተደፈረች፤ ህጻናት ደግሞ አይናችን እያየ ወላጆቻችንን ተቀማን ብለዉ እያለቀሱ ሲናገሩ ያሳየን ሪፖርት ነበር። በወቅቱ ይህንን እጅግ በጣም ዘግናኝ የሆነ ቪዲዮ አይቶ ልቡ ያልተነካ ኢትዮጵያዊ አልነበረም።

ሂዩማን ራይትስ ዋች ይህንን ሪፖርት ይፋ ካደረገ ከስድስት አመታት በኋላ ዛሬም ወያኔ በኦጋዴን ወገኖቻችን ላይ የሚፈጽመዉን ለጆሮ የሚዘገንን ወንጀል ከመፈጸም ወደ ኋላ አላለም። እንዲያዉም ኦብነግን ከኦጋዴን ምድር ላይ ጠራርጌ አጠፋለሁ እያለ ግድያዉን፤ አፈናዉን ፤ ድብደባዉንና እስሩን በስፋት ቀጥሎበታል። ዘረኞቹ የወያኔ መሪዎች ዛሬም ኦጋዴን ዉስጥ ሠላማዊ ዜጎችን በዘፈቀደ ይገድላሉ፤ ወጣትና ህጻናት ሴቶችን ይደፍራሉ፤ መኖሪያ ቤቶችን ያቃጥላሉ። ባለፈዉ ማክሰኞ መስከረም አምስት ቀን የኢትዮጵያ ሳቴላይት ቴሌቪዥን በቪድዮ አስደግፎ ባቀረበዉ ዘገባ የወያኔ መሪዎች ምን አይነት ጨካኞች፤ አረመኔዎችና ለሰዉ ልጆች ምንም አይነት ክብር የሌላቸዉ አዉሬዎች መሆናቸዉን በግልጽ አሳይተዉናል። የዛሬ ስድስት አመት ሂዩማን ራይትስ ዋች ባወጣዉ ሪፖርትና ከሰሞኑ ደግሞ ኢሳት ቴሌቪዥን ባቀረበዉ የግማሽ ሰዐት ሪፖርት ዉስጥ የኦጋዴን ዜጎቻችን አሁንም ለእርድ አንደሚጎተት እንስሳ ተጎትተዉ በጥይት እንደሚደበደቡ፤ የኦጋዴን ምድርም ካላይና ከታች በቦምብ አንደሚጋይ በአይናችን ተምልከተናል።በዚህ ሰዉ ሆኖ መፈጠርን በሚያስጠላ ቪዲዮ ዉስጥ የወያኔ አረመኔ መሪዎች ሠላማዊ ዜጎችን እንደ ቅጠል አርግፈዉ “ልቀመዉ” “አምጣና ደርድር” እያሉ የራሳቸዉን ዜጋ በጅምላ በገደሏቸዉ የራሳቸዉ ዜጎች አስከሬን ፊት ቆመዉ ደስታቸዉን ሲገልጹ ታይተዋል። ከዚህ በተጨማሪ አንደኛዉ ወያኔ የአስከሬኑን ጭንቅላት በቪድዮ ቅረጸዉ ሲል ሌላዉ ደግሞ ይሄኛዉ ጆሮዉ ተቆርጧል እያሉ በገደሏቸዉ ሰዎች ፊት ቆመዉ ሲሳለቁ ተሰምተዋል። በዚህም ወያኔዎች ከእነሱ ዉጭ የሆንዉን ኢትዮጵያዊያን በቁማችን ብቻ ሳይሆን ሞተንም እየሰደቡንና እያዋረዱን የሚደሰቱ አርዮሶች መሆናቸዉን በተግባር አረጋግጠዋል።

ይህ በኦጋዴን ወንድሞቻችን ላይ የሚደርሰዉ በደልና የጅምላ ግድያ እኛን አይመለከትም የምንል ኢትዮጵያዊያን ካለን እጅግ ባጣም ተሳስተናል። ወያኔ አዲስ አበባ ዉስጥም ኦጋዴን ዉስጥ ሠላማዊ ዜጎችን ሲገድል ለእኛ ተራዉ እስኪደርሰን ድረስ በህይወት ላለነዉ ኢትዮጵያዉያን የግድያዊ ቦታና የሟቹ ማንነት ምንም ልዩነት የለዉም። አዲስ አበባም፤ ኦጋዴንም፤ አምቦም ወዘተ የምንገደለዉ እኛዉ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ነን: ይንን ግድያና ዉርደት በቃ ብለን በተባበረ ክንድ ወያኔንና ዘረኛ ስርዐቱን ማስወገድ ያለብንም እኛዉ ኢትዮጵያዉያን ነን።

ከኦጋዴን ክልል ዉጭ የሚኖረዉ ኢትዮጵያዊ ፍላጎት ሠላም፤ ፍትህ፤ ነጻነት’ እኩልነትና ብልጽግና ነዉ፤ አርግጠኞች ነን የኦጋዴን ወገኖቻችን ፍላጎትም ከዚህ የተለየ አይደለም። ወያኔ በዘር፤ በቋንቋና በሐይማኖት ከፋፍሎን እንዳሰኘዉ እያሰረን፤ እየደበደበንና እየገደለን ለሃያ ሦስት አመት በላይ የዘለቀዉ ስላልታገልነዉ ወይም አሜን ብለን አንገታችንን አቀርቅረን ስለተገዛንለት አይደለም፤ ሁላችንም ወያኔን ለማስወገድና የናፈቀንን የነጻነት አየር ለመተንፈስ አቅማችን የፈቀደዉን ሁሉ አድርገናል። ሆኖም ወያኔ ገመናችንን አንድ በአንድ የሚያዉቅ አገር በቀል ጠላት ነዉና ድካማችንና በሚገባ ያዉቃል። እስከዛሬ የሚያሰቃየብም ደካማ ጎናችንን ስለሚያዉቅና ይበልጥ ደካሞች ሊያደርገን ቀንና ማታ ስለሚሰራ ነዉ። ዛሬ ይህንን ወያኔ በግልጽ የሚያዉቀዉን ድካማችንን ለማስወደግድና እነዚህን ዘረኞች ለማንቀጥቀጥ ለወያኔና ለቅጥረኞቹ መለያየትን፤ጎራ ለይቶ እርስ በርስ መናከስንና አንዳችን ስንበደል ሌሎቻችን ቀመን መመልከትን እምቢ ማለት አለብን። እነዚህ ሦስት ነገሮች በፍጥነት ማድረግ ከቻልንና ፍትፍ፤ ነጻነትና እኩልነት አስተባብረዉን ወያኔን በአንድነት ከታገልነዉ ወያኔ ከአንድ ሳምንት ትገል የማያልፍ ደካማ ጠላት ነዉ።የወያኔ ጥንካሬ የኛ መለያየትና እርስ በርስ መበላላት ብቻ ነዉ። ወያኔን አንድ ሆነን በጋራ ከታገልነዉ የመሳሪያ ጋጋታ አያስፈልገንም፤ አንድነታችን ብቻ ገፍቶ ይጥለዋል፤ተለያይተን ሁላችነም በየፊናችን ከታገልነዉ ግን እስካፍንጫችን ብንታጠቅም እያቆሰልነዉ እኛም እንቆስላለን እንጂ አናሸንፈዉም። ስለዚህ ዛሬ የኦጋዴን እልቂት እንዲቆም፤ የጋምቤላ መሬት ሽያጭ እንዲያበቃ፤ የአማራ፤ የአፋርና የሙርሲ ሀዝብ መፈናቀል ባስቸኳይ እንዲቆምና አገራችን ኢትዮጵያን በማዕከል በጋራ እየመራን በክልል ደግሞ እራሳችንን በራሳችን ማስተዳደር እንድንችል ሁላችንም በአንድነት በወያኔ ላይ ክንዳችንን እናንሳ!!

በህወሓት አገዛዝ በኦጋዴን ሕዝብ ላይ እየተፈጸመ ያለውን የጅምላ ግድያ በጽኑ እናወግዛለን!!!

የአገራችን የኢትዮጵያን በትረ ሥልጣን በጠመንጃ ኃይል የተቆጣጠረው ዘረኛው የወያኔ አገዛዝ የሥልጣን እድሜውን ለማራዘም በኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ ላይ እየወሰደ ያለውን እሥራትና ግድያ አጠናክሮ መቀጠሉን የሚያጋልጡ ማስረጃዎች በየጊዜው ከራሱ ከአገዛዙ እየሾለኩ በመውጣት ላይ ናቸው።

መስከረም 5 ቀን 2007 ዓም በኢትዮጵያ ሳተላይት ቴለቪዥን በምስል ተደግፎ የቀረበው በኦጋዴን ወገኖቻችን ላይ የተፈጸመው ጭፍጨፋ ከነዚህ ማስረጃዎች አንዱ ነው ።

የወያኔን አገዛዝ ይቃወማሉ የተባሉና በኦጋዴን ክልል ከሚንቀሳቀሱ ተቃዋሚዎች ጋር ንኪኪ አላቸው የተባሉ እነዚያ የጅምላ ጭፍጨፋ ሰለባ የሆኑ ምስኪን ዜጎች አስከሬን መሬት ለመሬት እየተጎተተ አንድ ቦታ እንዲከማች ሲደረግ፤ አስከሬኑን ለመሰብሰብ ከታዘዙት የአካባቢው ነዋሪዎች አንዱ የገዛ ወንድሙ አስከሬን ከሚጎተተው መሃል እንደነበረ መስማት ህሊናን የሚሰቀጥጥና የወያኔ የጭካኔ እርምጃ አቻ የሌለው ደረጃ ላይ መድረሱን የሚያመላክት ነው።

በደርግ ዘመን ቤተሰብ የተገደለበትን ሰው አስከሬን ለማግኘት የጥይት ዋጋ ለመክፈል ይገደድ ነበር በማለት ሥርዓቱን በነጋ በጠባ የሚወነጅል አገዛዝ ከሚወነጅላቸው ሥርዓት በባሰ በኦጋዴን የገደለውን ንጹህ ዜጋ አስከሬን የገዛ ወንድሙ መሬት ለመሬት እንዲጎትተው አድርጓል። በዚህም ህወሓት በሰብዓዊነት ላይ ከቀደምቶቹ ሁሉ የከፋ የሚሰቀጥጥ ወንጀል ፈጽሟል። ቀደም ሲል በበደኖ፤ በአርሲ፤ በአርባ ጉጉ፤ በሃዋሳ ፤ በጋምቤላ እና ድህረ ምርጫ 97 በአዲስ አበባና ሌሎች የአገሪቱ ከተሞች ነዋሪዎች ላይ በወያኔ ልዩ ትዕዛዝ ተመሳሳይ የጅምላ ጭፍጨፋዎች ተካሂደዋል። ይህ ሁሉ ወንጀል እየተፈጸመብን አስከዛሬ ወያኔን በጫንቃችን ተሸክመን ለመኖር የተገደድነው እነዚሁ ጥቂት ዘረኞች ሕዝባችንን በዘር፤ በቋንቋና በሃይማኖት በመከፋፈላቸው አንዱ የኅብረተሰብ ክፍል ሲጠቃ ሌላው በዝምታ የሚመለከትበት ሁኔታ በመፈጠሩ ነው።

ግንቦት 7 የፍትህ የነጻነትና የዲሞክራሲ ንቅናቄ ወያኔ በኦጋዴን ሕዝብ ላይ የፈጸመውን ይህንን አረመኔያዊ እርምጃ አጥብቆ ያወግዛል። ጊዜው ሲደርስ የዚህ ወንጀል ፈፃሚዎች ለፍርድ መቅረብ አለባቸው ብሎ ያምናል። ስለሆነም ወያኔ ሕዝባችንን አቅም ለማሳጣት ላለፉት 23 አመታት በኅብረተሰባችን መካከል የገነባውን የጥርጣሬና የጥላቻ ግንብ በመናድ እያንዳንዱ ኢትዮጵያዊ በኦጋዴንና በሌሎች የአገራችን ክፍሎች ወገኖቻችን ላይ እየተፈጸመ ያለውን ሰቆቃና እልቂት ለማስቆም እንዲችሉ የተቻለውን ሁሉ ያደርጋል።

ኦጋዴን ውስጥ ለፈሰሰው የንጽሃን ደምና በሰብዓዊነት ላይ እየተፈጸመ ላለው ወንጀል ተጠያቂው ሥልጣንን በኃይል የሙጥኝ በማለት በአገርና በሕዝብ ሃብት ዘረፋ ላይ የተሰማራው ጥቂት የህወሃት አመራር መሆኑ አያጠያይቅም። ይህንን ወንጀለኛ ቡድን ለፍርድ ለማቅረብ ንቅናቄዓችን ግንቦት 7 የሚያደርገውን ሁለገብ ትግል ለፍትህ ለነጻነትና ለዲሞክራሲ የቆመ ኢትዮጵያዊ ሁሉ እንዲቀላቀል በዚህ አጋጣሚ ጥሪ ቀርቦለታል።

We Are All Andargachew Tsege!!!

The long and bitter struggle has now transitioned to a new chapter designated as "We are all Andargchew Tsege”. This communiqué briefly describes what this new chapter is about and what it constitutes. The tasks outlined here are not to be read and set aside rather a series of concrete plans to be put into action.

What does it mean to be Andargachew Tsege? Andargachew Tsege is our leader who stands for justice, freedom, democracy and equality, who has been paying and still paying the immeasurable sacrifices that the struggle requires. To be like Andargachew Tsege means to be humble but determined, patient but persistent, visionary and wise and always ready for action. What it means to be an Andargachew Tsege is to be that person ready to take the necessary measures to get rid of the brutal regime systematically destroying our country. To become an Andargachew Tsege means to be the salvation for our beloved country and our generation.

One of the reasons why the minority regime of the Tigrai People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) has targeted Andargachew Tsege is because he is a leader who has managed to establish close ties between the armed Oromo, Afar, Ogaden, Gambella and other ethnic based organizations and Ginbot 7, our movement in a manner that renders ineffective the tribal junta’s propaganda. Above all what has become a thorn on the side of the TPLF is the strong working relations that he has created with The Tigrai People’s Democratic Movement (TPDM). By collaborating with TPDM, Andargachew has made TPLF unable to ride on the backs of the people of Tigrai. Therefore, to be an Andargachew Tsege also means to be free from ethnic hatred. What it means to be an Andargachew Tsege is to whole heartedly believe in the struggle and work with strong conviction for equal rights for all Ethiopians.

To be an Andargachew Tsege does not necessarily require being a member of Ginbot 7. To be an Andargachew Tsege only demands readiness to pay the price for the success of worthy objectives, irrespective of which organization one belongs to. To be like Andargachew Tsege is to comprehend fully that a resolute struggle needs to be backed by a strong organization.Finally, to be like Andargshew Tsege means to be Okilo Aquagne, Andualem Arage, Reeyot Alemu, Eskinder Nega, Bekelle Gerba, Olbana Lelisa and the countless other heroes and heroines of the struggle.

While we will frequently update the focus of the "We Are All Andargachew Tsege" campaign, the focus of the initial stage of the global campaign that will be implemented immediately is presented in three stages.

The Focus of the First Stage of the Campaign

This first stage will focus on three areas: - Yemen, UK and the TPLF regime

I- Yemen

The Government of Yemen has, in contravention of international law, illegally abducted and extradited our leader to suffer at the hands of the monstrous regime. The appeals made to the Yemen Government right from the beginning were not given due attention. To date, the Government of Yemen has not officially admitted the fact that they have abducted Andargachew Tsege and handed him over to the brutal regime in Ethiopia. According to the evidence / information we have it is the Yemeni spy agency which is directly accountable to the President of Yemen which has carried out this act of banditry from detention to illegally rendering him on a special flight to Ethiopia. As a result of this criminal action the Government of Yemen has committed a grave historical mistake which can neither be forgiven nor easily forgotten. The Government and people of Yemen have to understand that their ill-advised and illegal actions will have major consequences.

The objective of our campaign is to express our outrage not only to the President and Government of Yemen but to the Yemeni population as well. The following activities are stated below as examples.

1. To write strongly worded letters addressed to the President of Yemen and send it via fax and e-mail to various governmental organizations and embassies in Yemen, in particular, the Embassy of Yemen in Addis Ababa. We advise those of you who are participating in the campaign in Ethiopia to exercise caution. When you send internet and fax messages you must do it in a way that will not expose you to danger.

2. To flood Yemeni embassies with protest rallies capable of disrupting their activities. Burn the effigy of the President and the Yemeni flag. This action should be taken only outside of Ethiopia.

3. To write letters to Yemeni communities based abroad and encourage them to protest against their government’s criminal actions; inform them clearly and categorically that if they do not protest against the illegal actions of their

government, we will consider them as having sided with their government and declared war on Ethiopia

4. To boycott Yemen Airlines and all Yemeni commercial and business entities.

This is a major task that should be performed by Ethiopians within as well as those outside Ethiopia.

5. To single out Yemeni businesses in Ethiopia and boycott their products and services. Products (cookies or cigarettes made with Yemeni investment or imported from Yemen ) are considered to be goods tainted with the blood of our compatriots.

II- Britain.

We do not believe that the Government of the UK has done all that it could have done and should have done. The measures taken so far or are being taken were not prompt and speedy.

Therefore, our campaign objective as regards to the UK is to accuse the British Government of not giving serious attention to the matter and badger them so that hereafter they will give the matter immediate attention and follow up in order to have our leader released. The following activities are listed as examples.

1. To initiate a legal suit against the Government of Britain (This is something that will be carried out by the Secretariat of the Movement and the details will be made public later)

2. To write letters to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and send it to British embassies in large numbers especially the British embassy in Addis Ababa. Those compatriots who participate in the campaign in Ethiopia should take the necessary precautionary measures.

3. To hold protest rallies at the gates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in London as well as British embassies in other countries.

III- TPLF Regime

The struggles against the TPLF regime must be aimed at throwing them out of power. It is the action oriented movement of those Ethiopian compatriots and popular forces who, instead of being humiliated and enslaved, have decided to give their lives as well as chosen to fall while strangling and being strangled by the brutal regime for the sake of freedom and justice, that will contribute the biggest share in the downfall of the tyrannical minority regime. Let us join them.

Compatriots who for various reasons cannot join the decisive struggle should organize themselves, while protecting themselves from the spy network of the TPLF underlings and

prepare themselves to support activities which help this effort. It should be noted that the contribution of such activities is significant in terms of naming and shaming the TPLF cadres and supporters wherever they are found, denying them relief, exposing the crimes that they have committed to the public, depriving them of friends by exposing their identities to their partners or co-workers, weakening their financial strength and bankrupting their companies. The following activities should be undertaken from this perspective.

1. To get organized and work diligently to bring to justice the criminal TPLF officials and their supporters who are residing under various covers in the West as well as those who travel freely using the appropriate legal mechanisms in each country.

2. Create a situation where the TPLF regime’s embassies all over the world will not be able to perform their tasks.

3. Identify TPLF members and supporters wherever they may be (in their communities, universities, in their business) isolate and shame them as well as deny them access to any business or community contacts and expose their nefarious activities. Isolating members of the TPLF and their supporters from all contacts and not cooperating with them should also be carried out widely within Ethiopia.

4. Expose and humiliate TPLF officials (civil, military and security) visiting any country for business or pleasure and restrict their freedom of movement and make them the target of people’s anger for all the crimes they have committed. Within Ethiopia people should get organized and carryout surreptitiously and shrewdly similar activities without exposing themselves to attacks by TPLF security forces.

5. Boycotting the goods and services of TPLF owned companies and businesses including Ethiopian Airlines; and carrying out negative agitation campaign against them; becoming an obstacle and sabotage their activities in various ways in an organized manner and based on investigation and judiciousness. This must be carried out by all both in Ethiopia as well as outside of Ethiopia.

6. Avoid using Western Union, Money Gram as well as various currency exchange organizations established by the TPLF supporters in the US, Europe and the Middle East to send money to Ethiopia; find alternative methods of sending money in your local area; where alternatives do not exist use creative ways of sending money through friends and relatives to deny the regime access to funds; investigate all the available means of drying up the sources of foreign exchange, one of the major pillars for the fascistic rule of the TPLF, and weaken, undermine and demolish their financial and economic capability which is built on looting, ethnic favoritism and massive corruption.

7. Put pressure on foreign organizations working with the TPLF to cease their partnership, if they refuse to cut their ‘unholy alliance” carrying out major propaganda campaign against their businesses. (Specific details to be issued soon)

8. Strongly urge universities of Western countries to examine their relationship with Ethiopia; especially those universities and colleges that are engaged in granting TPLF officials fake degrees; inform their students what their university is doing. Write and fax letters requesting that the University of Greenwich terminate its relationship with the International Leadership Institute as well as review the Masters degrees it has given out to date. Send similar letters to Open University and other institutions working in partnership with the TPLF regime

9. Although this current campaign targets only the TPLF commercial enterprises and companies connected with wealthy domestic or foreign citizens, individuals will also be targeted by the campaign (A complete list will be issued soon)

Finally, we believe that other methods not found in this list but which are, nevertheless, effective ways of expressing protest, will emerge from the infinite creative capacity of the youth. Therefore, it is imperative to strengthen the campaign with ideas and creativity in each specific situation. This campaign should be launched with the understanding that it will intensify as time goes by and until the brutal TPLF regime is thrown out of power. Therefore, we will, from time to time, add new topics and strategies for the struggle.

We call upon the Ethiopian people, the global Ethiopian diaspora and all Ethiopian democratic forces to rise up armed with a unity of purpose and to get ready to work shoulder to shoulder for an action oriented struggle.

This campaign will bring about the desired results only when coordinated with the long and arduous struggle on the ground to get rid of the tyrannical regime of the TPLF. Ginbot 7 Movement for Justice, Freedom and Democracy makes a global call to all those who care about their freedom, dignity, and the dangers facing Ethiopia under the Fascistic rule of the TPLF to renew their commitment to the struggle to bring about the downfall of the TPLF regime to participate in this all around campaign of civil , disobedience, non-cooperation, and popular resistance to the full extent of their ability. Our struggle will succeed if we all stand together and pay the necessary sacrifice for the common good.

እኔም አንዳርጋቸው ነኝ የሚል ድምፅ ከአጥናፍ እስከ አጥናፍ እያሰተጋባ ነው። ይሄን ድምፅ የሚያቆመው አንዳችም ምድራዊ ኃይል አልተገኘም። ኢትዮጵያዊ ባለበት ሥፍራ ሁሉ ይሄ ድምፅ ከፍ ብሎ እየተሰማ ነው። ይህንንም ተከትሎ “ላንቺ ነው ኢትዮጵያ፤ ላንቺ ነው ኢትዮጵያ” የሚለው መዝሙር በኢትዮጵያ ተራሮች እናት ላይ እየተዘመረ ነው። ፍትህ ተዋርዳለች፤እኩልነት ጠፍቷል፤ ነፃነት የለም ያሉ ምርጥ ኢትዮጵያዊያን ሳያቅማሙ አያቶቻቸው በተመላለሱበት ተራሮች ላይ ተሠማርተዋል። ሞትንም ንቀው ጋሻ አንስተዋል፤ ሰይፋቸውንም መዘዋል። ለፍትህ፤ ለዕኩልነት እና ለነፃነት የተመዘዘው ሰይፍ ከእንግዲህ ወደ ሰገባው እንደማይመለስ ህወሃቶች እንዲያውቁት እንፈልጋለን።

በኢትዮጵያችን ፍትህ ከጠፋ ብዙ ዘመን ሁኖታል። ከሁሉም ዘመን የህወሃቶች ዘመን ግን የተለየ ነው። ህወሃቶች ህግን ዜጎችን የማጥቂያ መሣሪያ አድርገው መጠቀማቸው ከሌሎች እንዲለዩ ያደርጋቸዋል። እነዚህ ቡድኖች ሥፍር ቁጥር የሌላቸው ቂም መወጣጪያ ህጎችን አውጥተዋል። እንዲህ በማድርጋቸውም ሠላም እናገኛለን ብለው ያስባሉ። የህወሃቶች አስተሳሰብ ደካማና እርባና ቢስ መሆኑን ከሚያሳዩ ተግባሮቻቸው መካከል አንዱ ይሄው በፍትህ ሳይሆን በህግ ብዛት ሠላም እናገኛለን ብለው ተስፋ ማድረጋቸው ነው። የህግ ብዛት ሠላምን አያስገኝም፤ ፍትህንም ማስፈን አይችልም። እንዲያውም ህግ በበዛ ቁጥር ፍትህ እየጎደለች እንደምትሄድ የህወሃቶች ድርጊት ደህና ምስክር ነው። እነርሱ ዜጎችን ለመበቀያ ብለው የሚያወጧቸው ጥቃቅን ህጎች እነርሱ “ህገ መንግስት” ብለው የሚጠሩትን የሚንዱ እና ፍትህን ዋጋ የሚያሳጡ ሁነው እያየናቸው ነው። የፀረ ሽብር ህጉ በህገ መንግስቱ የተቀመጠውን የዜጎችን የመናገር የመደራጀትና በሰላማዊ መንገድ የመንግስትን እኩይ ተግባራት የመቃወምን መብት የገፈፈ ነው። የፀረ ሙስና ህጉም ቢሆን እንዲሁ ነው። በፀረ ሙስና ህጉ የሚጠየቁ በህወሃት የተጠሉ ብቻ ስለመሆናቸው በሙስና የተጨማለቁት የህወሃት ሹማምንት ህያው ምስክሮች ናቸው። በህወሃቶች ህግ ሁሉም ዜጎች እኩል አይደሉም። ህወሃቶች ከሌሎች ይበልጣሉ። የህወሃቶች ምኞት እነርሱ ከህግ በላይ፤ ሌላው ህዝብ ከህግ በታች ሁነው ህወሃትን ተሸክመው እንዲኖሩ ነው። እንዲህ ዓይነቱን ኢ-ፍትሃዊነት መታገል ግዜው የሚጠይቀው ታሪካዊ ግዴታ ነው። መሪያችን አንዳርጋቸው ፅጌ የተነሳውም ህወሃቶች መሣቂያ መሳለቂያ ያደረጓትን ፍትህ ወደ ሚገባት ክብር ለመመለስ ነው። በአገራችን የህግ የበላይነት ሠፍኖ ጥቂቱ ብዙሃኑን ሳይጫን፤ ማንም ማንንም ሳይሸከም ሁሉም በህግ እና በፍትህ እኩል ሁኖ የሚኖሩባት ሠላም የበዛላት ሥፍራ እንድትሆን የመሪያችን የአንዳርጋቸው ምኞት ነው። ይሄን ምኞት ሚሊየኖች አንግበው ተነስተዋል።

ህወሃቶች አገራችንን አደጋ ላይ ከጣሉባቸው አንኳር ድርጊቶቻቸው መካከል አንዱ በዜጎች መካከል እየፈጠሩ ያሉት ግልፅ ልዩነት ነው። ህወሃቶች ከሌሎች ኢትዮጵያውያን ጋር እኩል ነን የሚል እምነት የላቸውም። የህወሃቶች ዕምነት እነርሱ ከሌላው ኢትዮጵያዊ ከፍ እንደሚሉና በዚያች አገር ውስጥ የተለየ መብት እንዳላቸው ነው። ለመገድልም፤ ለመዝረፍም፤ዜጎችን ለማሳቃየት እና ከአገር ለማባረርም መብቱ የእኛ ነው የሚል ጅላጅል እምነት አላቸው። ይህ የሞኝ እምነታቸው በዜጎች መካከል ቂመ በቀል ሊያተርፍ የሚችል አድሎዎ እንዲፈጥሩ አድርጓቸዋል። አድሎአቸውንም ይበልጥ የከፋ የሚያደርገው ህወሃቶች ሁሉን አድራጊ እኛ ነን ብለው ሲያበቁ የህወሃት የበላይነት የለም ብላችሁ እምኑ ብለው ዜጎችን መጫናቸው ነው። ይህ ድርጊታቸው ብዙ ዜጎችን አስቆጥቷል። ህወሃቶች ግን የዜጎችን ቁጣ የሚያይ ዓይን፤ የሚያስተውል ሂሊና ርቋቸዋል። በኢትዮጵያችን በህወሃቶች አማካኝነት እየተፈጠረ ያለው ግልፅ አድልዖ ለአገራችን ህልውና ከፍተኛ አደጋ ነው። በህዝብ መካከል አድልዖ መፈፀም እና ቂምና በቀልን መትከል የህወሃቶች የመኖሪያ ድንኳናቸው ሁኗል። መከፋፈልና አድልዖ ባለበት አገር ውስጥ ሠላም ይኖራል ማለት አይቻልም። አድልዎ የታላላቅ ግጭቶችና ለውጦች ጥሩ ምክንያት መሆኑን መርሳት አይገባንም።መሪያችን አንዳርጋቸውም ሆነ ግንቦት ሰባት ንቅናቄ የተነሳው እንዲህ በዜጎች መካከል የሚፈፀመውን አድልዖ ለማስቆምና ዜጎች በገዛ አገራቸው በእኩልነት የሚኖሩበትን ሁኔታ ለመፍጠር ነው። ይህ የእኩልነት ጥያቄ የግንቦት ሰባት ንቅናቄ ብቻ ሳይሆን የሁሉም ዜጎች ጥያቄ ሁኖ ከኢትዮጵያ እስከ ውጪ አገራት ድረስ እያሰተጋባ ነው።

ሌላው ህወሃቶች አገሪቷን እያዋረዱ ካሉበት ነገሮች መካከል አንዱ የነፃነት ጥያቄ ነው። እኛ ከመጣን በኋላ በኢትዮጵያ ነፃነት ሰፈነ እያሉ ያላዝናሉ። ህወሃቶች ከነፃነት ጋር ተያይዞ ሊመጣ የሚችለውን ኃላፊነት ለመረዳትና ለመሸከም ከፍተኛ የሆነ የአስተሳሰብ ድክመት አለባቸው። ከነፃነት ጋር የሚመጣውን ኃላፊነት ለመሸከም ብቻ ሳይሆን የነፃነትንም ትርጉም ለመረዳት ከፍተኛ የሆነ የእውቀት ማነስ ችግር ያለባቸው መሆኑም ይታወቃል። ራሳቸውን ከታሰሩበት የድንቁርና ሰንሰለት ማስፈታት ሳይችሉ ከሰሞኑ የከፍተኛ ተቋም ተማሪዎችን ሰብስብው የእኛን አብዮታዊ ዲሞክራሲ ካልስተማርናችሁ ትምህርታችሁን አትቀጥሉም ሲሉ ማሰብ ማቆማቸውን ቁልጭ አድርጎ የሚያሳየን አንድ እውነት ሁኖ አግኝተነዋል። ማሰብ የሚችሉ ቢሆኑማ ኑሮ ነፃነት ማለት ‘የእናንተን አብዮታዊ ዲሞክራሲ መስማት አልፈልግም ማለትን’ እንደሚጨምር ያውቁ ነበር። ነፃነትን የማያውቁት ነፃ አውጪዎች ነን ባዮቹ ህወሃቶች ግን ተማሪው መስማት የማይፈልገውን አብዮታዊ ዲሞክራሲ አስገድደው እየጋቱት ይገኛሉ። ለሚቀጥለውም አርባና ሃምሳ ዓመት ስልጣኑን ለማንም አሳልፈን የምንሰጥ አይደለንም ሲሉ በድፍረት ተናግረዋል። የዚህ ሁሉ ድፍረት ምንጭ ህወሃቶችን የተፀናወታቸው እኔ ብቻ ከሚል ከንቱ አስተሳሰብ የመነጨው ስግብግብነታቸው መሆኑን መገነዘብ ያስፈልጋል።

እንግዲህ ፍትህ መቀለጃ ሁናለች፤ እኩልነት ተጓድሏል፤ ነፃነት ጠፍቷል የሚሉ ዜጎች ከሁሉም አቅጣጫዎች ድምፃቸውን እያሰሙ ነው። የህዝቡ ብሶትም ፅዋውን ሞልቶ እየፈሰሰ ነው፤ ቁጭቱም ከመቸውም ግዜ በላይ ግሏል። ከሰሞኑ በሃያ ስድስት ታላላቅ ከተሞች የተደረጉት ውይይቶችም ያሳዩን አንድ እውነት ህዝቡ ይበልጥ መቆጣቱን ነው። ቁጣውም የተገለፀበት መንገድም ሌላው አስደማሚ ጉዳይ ነው።“እኛም አንዳርጋቸው ነን” ሲሉ ድምፃቸውን ከፍ አድርገው አሰምተዋል። ከእንግዲህ ፍርሃት ሆይ መወጊያህ ወዴት አለ የሚሉ ኢትዮጵያዊያን ድምፃቸውን ከፍ አድርገው ላንቺ ነው ኢትዮጵያ፤ ላንቺ ነው ኢትዮጵያ እያሉ ዘምረዋል። ይሄ ለፍትህ፤ ለእኩልነትና ለነፃነት ለሚታገሉ ታጋዮች ተስፋ ሰጪ ምልክት ነው።

ህወሃቶች በሠላማዊ መንገድ ለሚደረገው ትግል መንገዱን ሲያደናቅፉ እሰከ ዛሬ ዘልቀዋል። አሁን ጭራሹን ገና ሃምሳ የመከራ ዘመን እየተመኙልን ነው። ይሄ ምኞታቸው ቅዥት ሁኖ እንደሚቀር እኛ ልናስታውሳቸው እንፈልጋለን። በዚያች አገር ለውጥ መምጣት አለበት። ለውጡ በዛፍ ላይ የተንጠለጠለ የጎመራ ፓፓያ አይደለም በራሱ ወደ ምድር የሚወርድ፤እኛ ራሳችን ልናወርደው የሚገባን እንጂ። ተፈላጊውን ለውጥ ለማምጣት እያንዳንዱ ዜጋ በቻለው መሣሪያና ባለው አቅም ሁሉ ለልውጡ ሳያቅማማ መታገል ይኖርበታል። ህወሃቶች ነፃነታችንን አይሰጡንም፤ ፍትህም ከእነርሱ እጅ የምትገኝ አይደለችም፤ እኩልነትንም የሚያውቁ አይደሉም እነዚህ ወርቃማ እሴቶች በትግል የሚገኙ ናቸው። እነዚህን ክቡር ስጦታዎች አስነጥቆ ዝም ያለ ወደ መታረጃው ሥፍራ የሚነዳ ከብትን ይመስላል። ብዙ ኢትዮጵያዊያን እንዲህ መሆንን የሚምርጡ አይደሉም። በየከተሞቹ በተደረገው ውይይት ከተገነዘብናቸው እውነቶች መካከል አንዱ ዜጎች ለፍትህ፤ለእኩልነት እና ለነፃነት አስፈላጊውን መሥዋዕትነት ለመክፈል ዝግጁ መሆናቸውን ነው።

በህወሃት ዘመነ መንግስት የመከራ እንባችሁን በመዳፋችሁ የምታፍሱ፤ ህወሃት በአገሪቷ ላይ እያደረሰ ያለው የጥፋት ድርጊት የሚያነገበግባችሁ እና ምን እናድርግ መሪ አጣን የምትሉ ስሙን! መሪ ካጣችሁ እንዲህ አድርጉ “ራሳችሁ ተነሱና መሪ ሁኑ!”። ከምታምኗቸው ጥቂት ወዳጆቻችሁ ጋር ሁናችሁ ተደራጁ፤ አንዳችሁ አንዳችሁን አድምጡ፤ ጥሩ ተመሪ መሆን ከቻላችሁ ጥሩ መሪ ወጥቷችኋል ማለት ነው። የአገራችን ፈርጀ ብዙ ችግር በጥቂት ዜጎች ብቻ የሚቀረፍ አይደለም።የሁሉንም ቁርጠኛ ዜጎች ትግል የሚጠይቅ ነውና በየመንደራችሁ ተደራጅታችሁ የጎበዝ አለቃ መርጣችሁ ዘረኞችን፤ ዘራፊዎችንና አድሎዋዊ ሥርዓት የዘረጉባችሁን ታገሏቸው። እንዲህ ካደረጋችሁ ከእኛ ጋር ለመገናኘት መንገዱ ቀላል ይሆናል።

የግንቦት ሰባት ንቅናቄ ጥያቄ አጭርና ግልፅ ነው። ፍትህ፤ ነፃነትና እኩልነት በኢትዮጵያችን ይሰፈን ነው። የህወሃትን ዘረኝነትና አምባገነንነት የሚፀየፍ ሁሉ የንቅናቄያችን ደጋፊ ነው። እነዚህን ነገሮች በኢትዮጵያ ለማስፈን በሚችለው ሁሉ ርምጃ መውሰድ የጀመረ የንቅናቄያችን አካል ነው። እኛም ከጎኑ አለን። እንዲህ በማድረግ የማይቀረውን ለውጥ አናመጣለን። ለውጡ ይመጣል አንድም የተፈጥሮ ህግ ስለሆነ፤ አንድም ደግሞ እኛ ሳናቅማማ የፈለግነውን ለውጥ ለማምጣት ስለተነሳን።

ህወሃቶች መስልጠን የማይችሉ፤ ከአዲስ አስተሳሰብ ጋር ራሳቸውን ማዋሃድ የማይሆንላቸው ፍፁም ግትሮች መሆናቸውን በተዳዳጋሚ አይተናል። ይሄን ግትርነታቸውን እንደ ጀግንነት ይቆጥሩታል። በአገራችን ደህና አባባል አለች እንዲህ የምትል “ሞኝ አሸነፈ ምን ብሎ? እምቢ ብሎ” ይባላል። ህወሃቶችን በዚህ አባባል መግለፅ ሞኝ ያስመስላቸዋል እነርሱ ግን ሞኞች አይደሉም ጨካኞች እንጂ። የጭካኔያቸው ምንጭ ደግሞ በራሳቸው የማይተማመኑ ደካሞች መሆናቸው ነው። እነርሱ ከዛሬ ሠላሳ ዓመት በፊት በመስታወት ውስጥ ያዩትን የራሳቸውን ምሥል ዛሬም መልሰው ያንኑ ምሥል እያዩት ነው። ከሠላሳ ዓመት በኋላም ሊቀየሩ አልቻሉም። ከዚያ ካረጀው ምሥላቸው ላይ ዓይናቸውን ነቅለው ግዜው እና ሁኔታው የፈጠረውን በአካባቢያቸው ያለውን አዲስ ምሥል ለማየት አቅቷቸውል። ስለዚህ ህወሃቶችን ማስወገድ ግድ ነውና ሁሉም በያለበት ለሚመጣው ለውጥ ራሱን ያዘጋጅ፤ የለውጡም አካል ይሁን እንላለን።

We struggle in unison to end dictatorship in Ethiopia A Joint Statement

Many political parties and organizations lacking unity and common goal have fought hard for decades to end dictatorship in Ethiopia. The ever increasing number of the political organizations and their failure to work together has enabled longevity for the minority dictatorial regime that would and should have been in the dustbin of history long time ago.

We believe it is about time that all concerned individuals and groups that understand and see the deep hole that our nation finds itself, must pause and reflect on the backbreaking path we traveled and the critical juncture we have reached.
For years, the Ethiopian people have been demanding for a united political front, and we the various political forces that struggle to make the people the only source of power in Ethiopia have envisioned that a united political force and collective struggle is not an option, but an indispensable necessity.

Today, the call of the Ethiopian people for a united political front has been answered with the first and initial step. Our long term vision and desire to create a broader united front that ultimately leads to a strong united Ethiopia has materialized with this initial step. With this initial step, the following three political entities have completed the preconditions to merge their organizations, and have vowed to pay all the necessary sacrifices that the struggle requires to make the Ethiopian people masters of their destiny.

We the three organizations that have reached an agreement towards the merger are:

1. The Ethiopian People Patriotic Front
2. Ginbot 7, Movement for Justice, Freedom and Democracy
3. Amhara Democratic Forces Movement

We want to let the Ethiopian people and friends of Ethiopia know that we the undersigned organizations have agreed to work together in all aspects and facets of the struggle during the transition period.
